Highly predissociative levels of CH3S(A2A1) detected with degenerate four-wave mixing

A study was performed to demonstrate the advantages of degenerate four-wave mixing in investigating highly predissociative levels of the A2A1 state of CH3S. Observed bands from 1490 cm-1 above the origin of A2A1←X2E3/2 in LIF experiments were extended to ∼5020 cm-1. As a result, progressions 113v, 413v, and 213v41 were identified for the first time.
