High strength and good ductility of Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 bulk glass containing ZRC particles

ZrC particles that are dispersed homogeneously in a bulk glassy Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 alloy were formed through the in-situ reaction between Zr metal and graphite. The particles exhibited significantly improved mechanical properties.
