High-field magnetization, susceptibility, electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements on powder samples of a ladder-like compound Cu2(1,4-diazacycloheptane)2Cl4 have been performed. Experimental results show an energy gap with the singlet ground state and are compared with some numerical calculations for a spin ladder model. The energy gap is estimated to be 13.1 and 9.3 K from the ESR and the magnetization experiments, respectively.
