High field magnetic phase diagram of CeP studied by synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction

Abstract

Magnetic structures of CeP have been studied under high magnetic fields up to 12.5 T (H|| [1 1̄ 0]) by synchrotron X-ray diffraction. Magnetic phases with wave vectors k = 2/11, 2/10 and 2/9 were observed at low temperatures. The magnetic phases with k = 2/9 (↑ ↑ οοοο οοο or ↑ ↑ ← → ← → ← → ←) and k = 2/11 (↑ ↑ οοοο οοοοο) are new phases under magnetic field found in the present work.
