Abstract

This laboratory is equipped with an 8-MW dc power supply with thyristors and a water-cooling system with turbo-refrigerators. In addition to three hybrid magnets, there are four water-cooled magnets and four superconducting magnets. Steady fields exceeding 30 T have been generated by the largest hybrid magnet.
