High contrast flexible blue phase LCD with polymer walls

Abstract

We developed high contrast flexible blue phase LCD with polymer walls by UV irradiation through a photo mask. We clarified that both polymer walls and BP stabilization can be achieved by only one time UV irradiation and the polymer walls can suppress the distortion of the alignment of blue phase LC in a bending state.
