Abstract
Hetero-multilayered thin films composed of polydiacetylene microcrystals and gold and/or silver fine particles were prepared by the electrostatic deposition technique. Their morphological structure and optical properties were analyzed. Results showed that the nano semi-conductor fine particles exhibited enhancement of nonlinear optical (NLO) properties induced by quantum confinement. These were explained on the basis of resonant energy transfer induced by dipole-dipole interaction.
