Growth and characterization of YBa2Cu3O7-δ single crystals

Abstract

Large single crystals of high-Tc superconductor YBa2Cu3O7-δ (Tc=90 K) have been successfully grown in the cavity of the bulk materials with a CuO flux. We have also grown single crystals of (La1-xSrx)2CuO4-δ (Tc=20K). Resistivity, Meissner effect and photoemission spectrum were measured for the single crystals. We also studied the newly discovered superconductor BiSrCaCu2Ox with Tc of 75∼110K, and proposed the method to produce the single phase.
