Abstract

In this paper, we deal with the flight control problem of a passenger aircraft encountering windshear in landing. First, we give the detailed description on the genetic programming, which plays a key role in constructing robust flight controllers against the windshear. Then, based on the genetic programming, we propose a new design method, demonstrating its effectiveness through some numerical examples. Finally, we attack the landing-in-the-windshear problem by applying the proposed design method to this problem. Simulation is carried out with the parameters of the Boring-727 type aircraft. No matter how the windshear is, the resulting robust controller shows the good performance.
