Giant photo-expansion in chalcogenide glass

Glass exhibits many kinds of photoinduced phenomena, among which the giant photo-expansion appearing in chalcogenide glasses such as As2S 3 may be the most dramatic and promising. Its feature, mechanism, and application including micro-lenses are described.
