Abstract

Recent progress in fine ceramics and related technologies suggest that use of an autoclave for chemical reactions and synthesis of advanced materials through hydrothermal reactions at high temperature and high pressure possesses a great advantage in production processes. However, one of the disadvantages of the use of autoclaves is the expenditure of a large amount of thermal energy for heating the autoclaves and resulting uneconomical production cost. The newly proposed concept of geochemical reactor overcomes some disadvantages in autoclave technology and also possesses a great advantage in development of natural resources, which is one of the forms of the advanced geothermal technology.
