Abstract

Experimental results on the Gamow-Teller transitions from 176Yb to 176Lu using the (3He,t) reaction at E(3He) = 450 MeV were reported. By taking the ratios of the excitation strengths for the IAS and the Gamow-Teller states, the B(GT) values for low-lying 1+ states after calibrating the reaction mechanism were deduced.
