Fuzzy logic based relay search algorithm for cooperative systems

Abstract

Cooperative systems provide spatial diversity n wreless communications that s advantages when multiple antennas at wreless nodes are not cost effective. In this work, we propose fuzzy ogic based relay search algorithm for 2- hop cooperative systems wth the goal of maxmzing the performance of a system n terms of SER (Symbol error rate). The algorithm requires effective SNR (signal to noise ratio), and total time delay of the nk (propagation delay and processing delay at relay) as fuzzy parameters. The performance of the proposed algorithm s compared wth Bnd-Selected Agorithm and Informed-Selected Agorithm. Simulation results shows that Fuzzy ogic based relay search results n substantial improvement over the exsting relay selection algorithms.
