Abstract
Frequency-shifted feedback (FSF) laser using semiconductor laser was presented. FSF laser operation was verified by the observation of a beat signal and homodyne detection with a Michelson interferometer. FSF semiconductor laser with spectral width of 780 GHZ and chirping rate of 134.9 PHz/s was demonstrated. The spectral width was brought down to 85 GHz using gratings as an output coupler.
