Abstract
Fragmentation profiles in low-energy collisions of Sn+x with a highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) surface were investigated. The favored fragmentation paths were found to be similar to those Si and Ge cluster ions in the collision induced dissociation (CID) studies. The results supported the structural similarities among Si, Ge and Sn clusters in the present size range.
