Abstract
Tetraazaporphyrins substituted with bulky aryl groups have been synthesized and their fluorescence properties were investigated. The structural effects of the bulky groups were estimated by X-ray crystallographic analysis. The fluorescence quantum yields of these compounds were successfully enhanced due to the effect of the bulky substituent groups.
