Abstract
A flexible liquid crystal (FLC) device was developed with the polymer fiber network supporting plastic substrates. The anchoring effect of the complicated polymer network caused a spatial variation in the threshold voltage for switching the FLC molecular alignment. The device exhibited a fast response time, high contrast ratio, and spatial grayscale capability due to FLC domain switching.
