Abstract

The freezing method is one of the most effective improving methods in the treatment and the disposal of water plant alum sludge. In the constant pressure filtration of one side drainage, the variance of hydraulic pressure on an impermeable surface was measured and dewaterbility characteristics of the above sludges was consiered. From these results, it was concluded that the compression of raw sludge depended on the difference of hydraulic pressure in the void.
