Abstract
The transport Jc at 77 K for filamentary (Gd,Dy,Ho)-Ba-Cu-O superconductors prepared by solution spinning and partial melting was measured in magnetic fields up to 10 T. The partial melting of the filamentary sample was examined in flowing 0.1% O2 + Ar, 1% O2 + Ar and 20% O2 + Ar. The field dependence of Jc for the sample partially melted in flowing 1% O2 + Ar was superior to that for the other samples. The Jc maintained around 104 A/cm 2 by applying the field up to 6 T and then decreased drastically.
