Abstract

We present novel optical circuits consisting of low-loss photonic crystal butt-jointable tolfrom fibers (Fiber-to-fiber loss of 4.6dB over a waveguide 3mm long). To show its versatility, we demonstrate an in-line resonator with Q=270.
