N2 - CCTV is the most effective tool for gathering the unusual road status by observing the monitor TV at the operation room. Each CCTV was equipped at specific site for specific purposes such as observing the accidents, congestion and unusual weather conditions. But the number of CCTV is too large for operators to watch continuously. Furthermore, unusual situation dose not happen so often. Therefore, most CCTV is not used effectively. Considering those situation, authors are developing to use CCTV more effectively and usefully. This activity is expecting for contribution to the works of road operation and maintenance. We introduce the possibility of multipurpose usage and the basic analysis of travel time measurement using CCTV.
