Abstract

Highly-orientated thin films of polydiacetylene nanofibers were successfully fabricated as a pseudo single crystalline thin film through convective assembly. The thirdorder nonlinear optical susceptibility of highly-orientated film with an order parameter of 0.87 was five times as high as that of randomly orientated film owing to high orientation and dense packing.
