Fabrication of multi-walled carbon nanotube ultrathin film using the liquid/liquid interface

    Abstract

    Carbon nanotube(CNT) attracts great attention in the nanomaterial field because of their unique electrical property. From the point of application aspect, it is very requisite to develop the integration technique of CNT in a tailor-made maner. Recently, the technique for preparing nanoparticle monolayer using the oil/water interface, and transfering the monolayer onto solid substrate by the Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) technique was reported. In this report, we attempt to prepare multi-walled carbon nanotube(MWCNT) monolayer synthesized by alumina template method by using toluene/water interface. By applying the interface, we succeeded in fabrication of MWCNT monolayer assembly.
