Fabrication of multi core fiber by using slurry casting method

Abstract

We fabricated a 7-core fiber using a slurry casting method with highly pure SiO2 powder as a starting material. The minimum loss was 0.25 dB/km and the crosstalk was -33.4 dB/100 km.
