F-center formation by K-shell excitation in KBr, RbCl and Kl

F-center formation efficiencies around Br K-shell absorption edge in KBr, Rb K-shell in RbCl, and I K-shell in KI single crystals have been measured by using monochromatic x rays at LHeT. The relaxation of a hole in K-shell in Rb and I ions does not show the enhancement in the formation efficiencies in contrast with the enhancement observed in the case of Br K-shell excitation in KBr.
