Abstract
Undirectional anisotropy constant of Co-Fe/Mn-Ir bilayers with ultra-thin antiferromagnetic layer was investigated. The specimens used were deposited on the thermally oxidized Si wafers and the ultra clean sputtering method was used to diminish the microstructural inhomogeneity. An extra large value of anisotropy constant which exceeds 0.5 erg/cm2 at 0.3-0.4 Fe concentration with the ultra-thin Mn-Ir layer was obtained.
