Abstract

Diffusion couple experiments have been made on Fe-C-X(= Al, Si, Cr, Co, Ni, and Cu) systems to examine the isoactivity lines for carbon in ferrite and austenite. The results obtained have been analyzed thermodynamically according to the sublattice model, and the interaction parameters for individual elements have been evaluated.
