Experimental study of the modified peniotron using TE11 rectangular waveguide cavity

Abstract

The modified peniotron is expectedto have an extremely high conversion efficiency and a higher output power in centimetre and millimetre wave regions than those ofthe original peniotron. This paper describes the design considerations of a test tube used for experimental confirmation of itspromising features, and shows some experimental results in connection with electron beamand oscillation characteristics obtainedup to the present.
