Abstract

The coupled reaction model has been proposed to calculate hot metal dephosphorization by S. Ooguchi et al. This model can estimate simultaneous multi-component reactions. Based on experiments and calculations it was found that the effective equilibrium constant of P and the mass transfer coefficient in slag decreased if MnO was used as the oxygen source compared to the case when FeO was used.
