N2 - Operation characteristics of a photovoltaic power system using an orthogonal-core-type dc-ac converter linking a solar array and pre-existing ac system were studied. The link was established at about 20 percent sunlight, and as the sunlight increases, the power supplied from the solar array to the ac system increases as anticipated. Favorable operating characteristics were found even when sunlight varied irregularly.
