Evidence from29Si NMR of the importance of the hybridization between 5f and conduction electrons in U3Pd20Si6

Abstract

The microscopic magnetic properties of U3Pd20Si6 have been investigated by 29Si NMR. The deduced strongly T-dependent, large relaxation rate of U 5f moments indicates that single-site dynamics due to hybridization between 5f and conduction electrons dominate the low-energy spin dynamics in the paramagnetic state.
