Thermal conductivity of zirconia coating layers, deposited by electron beam-physical vapor deposition (EB-PVD), was analyzed. It was observed that thermal conductivity ofthe combined coating layer and substrate specimens increased with the increase in substrate thickness. It was found that thermal conductivities for the coating layers were in the range of 1.48-1.52 W/m.K. The results show that lower thermal conductivity of the zirconia substartes was due to low thermal diffusivity and low density of the coating layers.
