N2 - The article deals with influences of grinding conditions upon a grinding fluid quantity in wheel workpiece interface. In creep feed grinding, which has a long arc of contact, grinding fluid cannot be supplied sufficiently into the wheel workpiece interface. In order to evaluate the quantity of grinding fluid supplied into the wheel workpiece interface, a new method capable of measuring a film thickness of grinding fluid was developed. Moreover, a segmental wheel achieving through wheel coolant has been made in order to supply a large quantity of grinding fluid into the wheel workpiece interface. (from authors' abstract)
