Estimation of three-dimensional coherent source positions with a directional borehole radar by MUSIC algorithm

Abstract

The MUSIC algorithm is suitable for three-dimensional position estimation with a broadband directional borehole antenna. The MUSIC algorithm is expanded to the three-dimensional location of completely correlated sources wit a conformal array in a borehole. This algorithm can be applied to the single-hole measurement, in which guided waves along a borehole impringe on an array. The algorithm is applied to the data obtained in borehole radar measurements so that the measurements can be located after data analysis.
