Abstract
The previously proposed procedure for estimating the atmospheric flow activation volumes of ester lubricants was developed for more general use. The developed procedure was applied to the alicyclic compounds which attracted much attention as traction fluids. Their activation volumes estimated by this procedure were roughly in agreement with the experimental values. The activation volumes of other alicyclic compounds reported by other workers could be also estimated.
