Abstract

Error-free 40Gbit/s OTDM transmission over 150km utilizing the all-optical signal processing was successfully demonstrated. The cores of the present transmission experiment are the picosecond optical pulse generation, the optical clock extraction, and the picosecond optical gating all obtained by mode-locked laser diode devices.
