Abstract

The mobility of the twin boundary and the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant K at 300 K in the martensite phase of Ni51Fe 18Ga27Co3 with a 7-layered (14 M) structure are estimated. The martensite phase exhibits a large magnetic-field-induced strain of about 0.7% at 300 K.
