Abstract
We demonstrate a novel method to control spontaneous emission on a nanofiber using a composite photonic crystal cavity. The cavity is formed by combining a nanofiber and a nanofabricated grating to create a composite photonic crystal cavity. For single quantum dots deposited on the surface of a nanofiber, we realized significant enhancement of spontaneous emission rate into the nanofiber guided modes.
