Enchanced magnetooptical response of magnetic nanoclusters embedded in semiconductor

Abstract

The optical properties and magnetooptical Kerr effect in MnAs:GaAs granular films were experimentally studied in the spectral range 0.5-4.5 eV at room temperature and 4.2 K. The diagonal and non-diagonal components of dielectric function for granular films were calculated. The enhancement of the giant magnetooptical effect in the MnAs:GaAs granular films was discussed on the basis of obtained results.
