Abstract
The nature of the low frequency plasma in cuprate superconductors and the electromagnetic phenomena related to the plasma excitation are theoretically studied. The interaction of electromagnetic wave with the transverse part of the low frequency plasma causes a peculiar frequency and magnetic field dependence of the reflectivity and transmissivity for a film of cuprate superconductor. It is predicted that the low frequency plasma is excited by the ac Josephson effect.
