Electroexcitation of giant multipole resonances in Cu63

Abstract

Giant multipole resonances in Cu63 were investigated by inelastic electron scattering. From a model-dependent analysis assuming resonant parts expressed as a sum of Breit-Wigner shapes and a smooth background, the centroid excitation energies, the widths, and the sum rule depletions were deduced and compared with the results on neighboring isotones. Our results were in excellent agreement with photoreaction data.
