Electrochemical Li-intercalation into the Fe-based superconductor FeSe 1-xTex

Abstract

We have successfully synthesized Li-intercalated LiyFeSe 1-xTex (x = 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1; y ∼ 1) using the electrochemical technique. The powder X-ray diffraction measurements have revealed that the lattice parameters do not change through the Li-intercalation for all x values. The magnetic susceptibility measurements have revealed that the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, does not change in spite of electron doping through the Li-intercalation for all x values. It has been concluded that the superconductivity in FeSe1-xTex is not sensitive to the carrier concentration.
