Abstract

Preliminary experiments were carried out to test the use of CH4 (g) for depolarizing of NiFe2O4 based anodes during electrolysis in molten CaCl2-NaCl (60-40 mol%) containing dissolved CaO. Electrochemical studies of the cathodic reduction of dissolved silver ions were done by using cyclic voltammetry.
