Efficient control of automatic pulse compressor in chirped pulse amplification system

Abstract

Femtosecond automatic pulse compressor in chirped pulse amplifier using stepping motors and PZT driven actuators controlled by PC was analyzed. Although the surface of the gratings was not always parallel to the stepping motor axis, the coordinate transformation was linear. The deviations in mechanical equipment generate the spectral phase differences (SPD) in SPIDER measurement.
