Abstract
The Lamb-wave velocity for GFRP and CFRP laminates during tensile tests were investigated. Lamb-wave detection of transverse cracks was also performed for cross-ply laminates under loadings. The tensile test was performed at room temperature with a cross-head speed of 0.5 mm/min using a universal testing machine. The results show that the velocity depends on both damage and the elasticity of the laminates.
