Abstract

A Pt ion-exchanged H-ZSM-5 was effective for the aromatization of n-hexane and n-octane. In contrast to the behavior in aromatization of lower paraffins such as ethane, propane, and butanes, ion-exchange with Pt markedly increased the selectivity to aromatics from higher paraffins.
