Abstract
High-quality YBa2Cu3O7 films were deposited on MgO(1 0 0) substrates by a metalorganic chemical vapor deposition process in a high magnetic field. The orienting effect was effectively produced by the application of magnetic field. The Jc of the films deposited under a field of 8 T is found to be one order of magnitude greater than that of films without magnetic field (77 K). In addition, the magnetic field dependence of Jc could be enhanced.
