Abstract

Food concentration affects the carbon balance not only quantitatively (rates), but also qualitatively (efficiencies). Changes in carbon balance with changing food concentration are interpreted as a strategy for D. galeata to maximize its assimilation rate at given food concentrations. -from Authors
