Abstract

EXPERIMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO STUDY THE PHOSPHORUS DISTRIBUTION BETWEEN LIQUID IRON AND MGO-SATURATED CAO-MGO-FEOX-SIO//2 SLAGS CONTAINING 1 TO 4P CAF//2 IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE 1550 D. TO 1650 D. C. THE EFFECT OF CAF//2 ON THE EQUILIBRIUM QUOTIENT WAS NEARLY EQUAL TO THAT OF CAO ON A WEIGHT PERCENTAGE BASE. THE EFFECT OF CAF//2 ON THE ACTIVITY COEFFICIENTOF P//2O//5 WAS ALSO STUDIED. ACTIVITIES OF FEO INCREASED WITH THE ADDITION OF CAF//2. IN JAPANESE WITH ENGLISH ABSTRACT.
