An imaginary-time perturbation formalism is applied to dynamics in intermediate-valence (IV) compounds. The general formula for the dynamical susceptibility gives at high temperatures analytic expression of the magnetic relaxation rate which encompasses the IV and the Korringa relaxation regimes, and reproduces the results obtained by the Mori method.
